Tanya Ling is a designer,
artist and illustrator, who was born in Calcutta in 1966. She spent her
childhood in America, Africa and England and now lives and works in London. Her fashionable career started in Paris in 1989 designing for Christian
Lacroix and Dorothee Bis. Tanya then returned to London where she set up a
contemporary art space with her husband in 1996... The exhibition led to her
first commission from British Vogue. Since then she has worked for highly
respected magazines including Harper’s Bazaar and US Elle, which she
illustrated six, award winning, trend reports (1999-2001). Commissions include
Diane Von Furstenberg, Jil Sander, Louis Vuitton, Harrods and Selfridges.
In 2002 Tanya debuted her ready-to-wear collection at London’s The Mayor Gallery, which was
then stocked at Henri Bendel on 5th Avenue in New York. In 2003 British Vogue
named Tanya one of the most important trend-setters in Britain...............
Her style is elegant,
beautiful, bright and she always manages to capture the true essence of what the
designer is trying to portray.
